Strite sets a very high standard or service, quality, and customer satisfaction, and you do truly stand by your work in every way, start to finish.

When we first began thinking about this project we set some guidelines in choosing a remodeling firm.

1. We wanted a well-respected, quality oriented, and professional firm.
2. One whose focus was on the client and in creating an addition to our home that was complementary of the existing architecture and neighborhood.
3. Provide a remodel that was cost-effective (on budget), again quality in construction and materials, and carried out in a timely fashion, and finally,
4. Work with our specific needs and somewhat nebulous ideas – turning them into a great end result.

Strite met our needs and desires in every way… We interviewed quite a few remodeling firms and Strite won hands down. Every discussion with the Strite team reinforced that Strite’s goals were exactly the same as ours. With so many horror stories in remodeling we began this process with a little bit of trepidation. However, everyone at Strite is so professional and dedicated to the client that any fear we had was immediately put to rest – and never resurfaced during our entire remodel. The true measure of a company is how one deals with small problems that will inevitably crop up AND in taking steps to prevent most problems in the first place. Strite is top-notch in both areas. Part of this is due to Strite’s great communication. Every aspect of the remodel was well discussed, documented, and outlined in a dated timeline and cost sheet – before construction began!  This certainly aided in staying within budget and on schedule.

“Now that the addition work has been completed on my home, I wanted to express my appreciation to you and all of the team at Strite not only for the quality of the work, but also for exceeding my expectations all along the way.  From the first meeting we had, through the design and construction phases, I was continually impressed with the availability and responsiveness of each member of your team.  Those qualities alone would be enough for me to recommend you to friends or use you for a future project on my own home, but there was more; I felt like each of the Strite employees I met really put themselves in my shoes and did the work to the very best of their considerable abilities.

I had been through the initial phases of a renovation and addition project for a home I own outside Washington, DC, with a premier company with a national profile, yet I felt more confident and secure with Strite than I did at any point in the process with that project.  From our initial meeting, when you were somehow able to intuit what I wanted instead of what I was saying, your design plan and suggestions improved upon my wildest dreams.  You heard my concerns about ensuring that interior natural light be preserved and suggested a skylight that has enhanced the livability and enjoyment of my original space in a way I had never imagined or would have thought was possible.  I appreciated that your suggestions brought me options to consider, but I never felt "upsold."  Your design proposal and explanation of your working process were enough for me to see that Strite was the leading choice for the job, but what sealed the deal was your attention to detail.  In short, at every step of the way, Strite worked proactively not reactively. I was extremely impressed with your desire to not only execute Strite's part of the project well, but to look at my home holistically and ensure the enhancement of the entire structure.

As the construction date approached, I was scheduled to be out of town.  I was relieved and impressed that Strite stepped in and coordinated with my landscaping company to arrange to have a tree relocated to facilitate the construction access, and you had a certified arborist brought in to consult about another mature tree that was very near the addition location.  Once work commenced, the project manager, Ed Lee, was diligent about keeping me updated and introducing me to the trades people who were working on my home.  I can't say enough positive things about those trades people.  I happen to be home most of the day, so it was important to me to feel comfortable with those who were working on the project.  To a person, they were courteous and efficient throughout the process.  I have a cat and a dog who are not used to commotion, and from the moment that I saw that their names were on the DOW [Description of the Work], I knew that they would be considered in the execution of project.  The cat is an indoor cat, and I had confidence that when I left that she would not be allowed to get out.  As strange as it sounds, I never felt an invasive presence in the house despite having a skylight dropped into the kitchen ceiling, a master bedroom window and wall reconfigured and part of a back wall removed to connect a new room.  Your crew was painstaking about cleaning up each night and not leaving work uncompleted in the evening or over the weekend that in any way would have an impact on my use or enjoyment of the house.

I also have to thank Brad Millspaugh for his weekly progress updates and for working with me on a minor billing issue and payment schedule.  He was great to interact with, and I appreciated the speed and certainty of his responses to my inquiries.  Ultimately, I enjoyed working with all of you because I always felt like a valued client and not just a person who was writing a check; I really enjoyed doing business with your company because I felt that each of you treated me considerately and genuinely appreciated my business.  As a customer, there is no better feeling.

I would appreciate your sharing my comments and thanks with all those who worked to make my project such a success.  You may also feel free to share them with any prospective clients who may find my views valuable.  I would also be willing to speak with anyone who is considering using your services and has questions or just wants to talk through the process.

Our project took about four months and I never had one incident of something not done when I was told it would be done or something not corrected immediately if needed. The hassle one sometimes has of having to battle about each little detail, and call and then call again simply didn’t happen with Strite.  Our remodel job was really stress-free.
